New York State Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association members enjoy many benefits, and one of the most valuable resources is our Code Talk Tips and Technical Tidbits program.
This “members-only” support service was founded so no member of New York State FIre Marshals and Inspectors Association would have to go through the pain, suffering and stress which comes from code related questions alone.
As a code community we have recognized we are stronger when we acknowledge our burdens and face them head-on, together. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help and now we are here to answer that call.
Current Members submit their toughest real-world questions about fire protection systems, means of egress, fire rated construction, hazardous materials, and many more complex code problems.
Our fire many service leaders will then respond with accurate and accessible answers about code, standards, and technology. Our goal is to help facilitate a culture within the code community which allows our members to network together and make it easy and helpful to talk to one another asking for help when ever it is needed.
NYSFMIA offers the Code Tips and Technical Tidbits program as a “members-only” service where most questions are answered usually within two business days, but some of your questions can get proffesional support and answers even faster than that.
Our goal is to prevent and/or lessen the potential negative impact of stress, on a new or even seasoned code officials, by providing emotional and technical support, information, and assistance when necessary and requested.
