We are thrilled to announce our new Quarterly Traveling Training and Eduction Program, designed to bring educational opportunities directly to you, no matter where you are in New York State.
This innovative approach ensures that everyone has the chance to participate without the need for extensive travel with overnight hotel costs while accommodating your busy work schedules.
We start the first day at 12:00 (noon) and will feature 4 hours of targeted educational content, including interactive workshops, expert presentations, and group discussions. This later start will allow for some optional office hours in the morning or accommodate travel time to the training site, eliminating the need for costly overnight accommodation beforehand.

UL Resources for Code Officials
NYS Approval T02-07-2858 (Topic 0-1-0)
The class provides an overview on the latest UL Resources that are available to support building and fire code officials with their responsibilities to ensure code compliance and the safety of the built environment.
Protecting Penetrations in Fire Rated Construction
NYS Approval #T02-07-2865 (Topic 1–1- 0)
This class provides an overview of the 2020 Building Code of New York State (based on the 2018 IBC) Chapter 7 requirements for protecting penetrations in fire resistance-rated construction; explanation of how fire-stop systems are tested in accordance with UL 1479/ASTM E 814 to meet IBC requirements. The course also provides an overview on the latest UL Resources that are available to support building and fire code officials with their responsibilities to ensure code compliance and the safety of the built environment and to locate and verify code compliant fire-stop systems.
Space Heater Safety
NYS Approval #T02-07-3156 (Topic 0-1-0)
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission estimates that more than 25,000 residential fires every year are linked to space heater use, causing more than 300 deaths.
About 6,000 people receive emergency room care for burn injuries associated with contacting hot surfaces of room heaters, mostly in non-fire situations.

Crowd Manager for CEO’s
NYS Approval #T02-07-2865 (Topic 1-1-0)
This course is designed to relay information on the new code Love requirement for crowd managers that was included in the 2018 IFC.
It will also give a CEO the chance to see the training requirements for
crowd managers. This class details the requirements and walks the CEO
through what they should be looking for when evaluating events and training programs.
Basement Egress Provisions of the 2020 Residential Code of New York State
NYS Approval #T02-07-3292 (Topic 0-2-0)
The 2020 New York State Residential Code requires that basements have at least one emergency escape and rescue opening, and a second means of egress if the basement is over 200 sq ft or has sleeping rooms

The goal of this course is to familiarize building officials, fire officials, plans examiners, inspectors, design professionals, contractors, and others in the construction industry with many of the important changes with the interior finishes, furnishings and vegetation so they do not significantly add to or create fire hazards in buildings using the 2020 Building Code of New York State and Fire Code of New York State.
